Description A theoretical and practical examination of selected topics in the fields of recreation, leisure and kinesiology. Topics will vary depending on faculty expertise and student need. Prerequisites: [PERS 1400 or REC 1400 (123.140)(C)] or [PERS 1500 or PHED 1500 (057.150)(C)] or [PERS 1200 or PHED 1200 (057.120)] or departmental approval.

Title Supervised Fieldwork Experience 
Description The fieldwork practicum is a professionally supervised field experience that provides an opportunity to apply knowledge gained in academic courses, and exposure to new concepts of professional practice in the fields of physical activity, health and wellness, or leisure. Students are placed for a 13-week period of full-time work within a suitable agancy. May not be held for credit with PHED 4620 (057.462) or REC 3080 (123.308) or REC 4630. Prerequisite: Successful completion of 90 credit hours of couirse work in the Bachelor of Kinesiology degree program and a minimum DGPA of 2.5.
